Hong Kong: A Place of No Significance

The idea first came as a short film. I think I wrote it down somewhere on one of the blogs I have but now, I think it's more of a book.

The book is separated into sections stating the role Hong Kong played in the history of China and Asia, especially in contemporary history in political, cultural and economic aspect.

It starts with an introduction to state why I wanted to write this book, which is to tell people, especially Hong Kongers, that Hong Kong is valuable and a place to be treasured with rich cultural, historical and economic value. It's an encouragement to Hong Kongers to be proud about who they are and where they live, the value of their home, this piece of land called Hong Kong.

The book is intended to be for readers who are foreign to Hong Kong (e.g. tourist, someone traveling or expat living in Hong Kong who just want to know a bit more about the place), someone who want to know about this historical background of Hong Kong, someone who cares about contemporary issues (conservation, environment, political development, education, economic development) of Hong Kong. The book is to be written in ways that very is very readable for readers.
