I kind of envy those people who complain being bore at work because of the lack of work.
Every church, every fellowship have bubbles. People might not be aware of it but yeah, there are bubbles. Some people are often neglected. How can we open these bubbles, or burst them? Or make one big welcoming bubble?

The difference between HK employees and foreign employees. Foreign employees have opinions and are problem solvers. They would raise question about things and insist on improvement or changes to be made. HK employees just do the job. Sure they have opinions, but are mostly complains about the management. I have an American colleague who left a few months ago and I don' think she deserved such a sad departure. I think there is a cultural discourse between HKers and the foreigners. Well, it is very obvious, everybody knows that but I guess in a big international company, the so-called foreigners have the say of things and the company is run in foreign or western manner which msot HKers enjoy being in. A HK or Chinese company is a bit different. Management is weaker if not messy and blurry. There are a lot of gray areas. Things don't go by the rule. There are always exception. A lot of it has to do with power. The protocol and procedure are not clear in a HK or Chinese company, sometimes it seems that it all depend on who you are and where you are on the food chain. Human needs are often neglected in a Chinese/HK company. Problems are better to be ignored until something comes up than to be solved. The key is not to make too much noise.

People just have different lives. After over 2 years in Hong Kong, I realized that I just can't compare my live with people I know of in the US. I am glad about some of the good decisions I have made and also regret on many bad decisions I made. The best decision was probably choosing to go into a 4-year university (althought I was there for 4 and a half years), it broadened my horizon. There was a time when I wanted to and thought about just aiming for the Art Center. I am glad I decided to double major in history along with art.

45 hr/wk + 49 hr OT = 94 hours/week out of possible 168 hours.
168 hr-94 hr = 74 hr
74 hr / 7 = 10. 57 hr
10.47 hr - 2.5 hr of commute = 8.o7 hr
8.07 hr - recommended hours of sleep = 0.07 hr or 4.2 minutes

Actually I OTed for 51 hours and 45 minutes

No, actually including the seminar on Saturday OT hours is 55 hours and 45 minutes.

45X4= 180 + 56 = 236

672-236= 436/28 = 15.57 - 13.07 hr - 8 hr = 5.07 hr
480-236= 244/28 = 12.2 - 2.5 = 9.7 hr - 8 hr = 1.7 hr

The population of China grow by 1 person every 2 seconds.
